The person behind Rising Yellow

Hi I’m Gözde! The first Yellower behind the Rising Yellow Team :)

I was born in Çanakkale, a beautiful seaside city between Europe and Asia in Turkey. I moved abroad to study and gain experiences in a global and multicultural business environment. I have lived now for more than 12 years in Frankfurt, Germany.

I enjoy spending my time discovering the changing world of work, all aspects of HR, workplace technology and the wellness industry. I love writing, developing healthier recipes, exploring places & culture, and connecting with nature.

My goal is to bring a positive influence to the work environment and contribute to build a happier and healthier workforce enabling better energy, focus and performance.

I am a believer in the saying, “Where there is a will, there is a way”. I don’t easily give up; I reflect, maximize the learning from each situation and lead people around me towards better results by leveraging their strengths. I value different perspectives, transparent communication, and entrepreneurial workstyle to bring ideas to life. I founded Rising Yellow following these values and principles.

During all the years I worked in global corporations, my mentors have told me that I have the strength to help create a positive atmosphere and energy for the people around me.

I wanted to leverage this strength to help others create awareness of taking small steps toward having a happier and healthier life. It’s in our hands and life is too short to wait for the perfect moment to come. We all know what needs to be done - yet- don’t take the very first step and put it into practice. And remember, given half the chance, the body will heal itself!

I’ve faced this myself when I was close to burning out, feeling tired all the time, lacking energy and drive to do things I was expected to do. After working non-stop for years, somehow I couldn't get out of the vicious cycle. I could not motivate myself to exercise. I noticed a destructive relationship to food. I used food to reward and punish myself. I tried different diets. Acne, eczema, bloating and stomach pains affected my social and overall wellbeing - and - were only a few of the symptoms for the inflammation in my body.

And I wasn’t alone. I’ve observed that my colleagues faced similar challenges where the daily work stress affected their energy, mood and relationship with others. Every afternoon at around 3 pm my colleagues would come by near my desk and I would observe them binging on the candy baskets. But this “Haribo moment” did not solve anything.

Then, something clicked. I wasn’t able to give a positive energy for people around me and this made me feel miserable. I needed a big reset and I wanted to be an inspiration for others. I wanted to learn more about my body as a whole. So I studied at The Institute for Integrative Nutrition and become a certified Health Coach. (Still continuing my education on Functional Medicine and Yoga & Meditation Teaching) What I learned about myself on the journey helped improve my life, so I wanted to help others to go through the same experience.

And, today, yes, I have a much better sync with the circadian rhythm, I listen to my body, I enjoy a balanced diet, - but - I have not figured it all out. It is a journey, there is a lot to learn and I look forward to what it all has to offer!

My unique knowledge and +12 years experience in the areas of L&D, Change & Communications Mgmt., Workplace Technology and Functional Medicine Health Coaching makes it the perfect skill set for our potential collaboration.

I look forward to hearing from you!
