Okay… I overdid it. Now what?

Happy Friday, Yellowers 💛

In just three weeks, I’ve been to 2 holiday parties, 1 Christmas market, and a full Turkey trip. So yes… it’s been very festive. 😄

And if you’re anything like me, holiday dinners tend to turn into holiday weeks. Rich food, late nights, travel… and suddenly your body whispers: “Hey… remember me?”

And honestly, I’m not 21 anymore, and I feel it quickly in my energy levels. But I don’t panic. I don’t go into extreme “detox mode.”

I just ease back in. Slowly. With the habits I trust.

What I Don't Do

  1. No trigger foods at home. If it’s not in the house, I won’t think about it.

  2. No obsessing over numbers. Scales, trackers… they can wait. My body knows how to find balance again.

  3. No guilt goals. Anything driven by guilt never lasts.

What I Do Instead

  1. I always start with hydration. Lemon water and nettle tea first thing in the morning. It’s my signal to the body: we’re back.

  2. Then I fix my body clock. Earlier wake-ups. Early daylight for seven days. This resets my energy the fastest.

  3. Next, I get the blood moving. Nothing intense. Just light stretching or mobility to wake the system up.

  4. Then comes mindset. A short Tony Robbins priming meditation. Fifteen minutes, and my whole day shifts.

  5. I support all of this with my foundation supplements: Vitamin D, Omega-3s, and magnesium. Mood, sleep, and inflammation - all supported.

  6. After that, I clean up my food. Savory breakfast. Colorful meals. Lots of fiber. Quality protein.

  7. Only then do I ease back into training. Strength, cardio, or group sessions - booked ahead so I actually show up.

  8. For recovery, I add heat and cold. Sauna and cold exposure for circulation, faster recovery, and that “back to myself” feeling.

  9. I protect my sleep like it’s gold. Early dinners. Consistent bedtimes. No social jet lag. This is where real repair happens.

  10. And finally, I protect my mornings. No meetings before 11 a.m. That’s my time for movement, planning, and clear thinking.

Current status: Letting the sun ☀️ do what it does best :)

Why It Works

Because I don’t start from zero. I return to my baseline - a simple routine that always works.

And I’m clear on my why:
My energy shapes everything I create and give.

When I feel my best, I give my best to my work, my creativity, and the people I care about.

That’s the fundamental reset.
